Capt. John Judson

Research Focus:
Capt. John Judson has been a Research Civil Engineer in the Survivability Engineering Branch of ERDC’s Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) since June 2014. Judson has served as a principal investigator on numerous U.S. Department of State funded research programs that seek to enhance perimeter security, mitigate blast and ballistic threats, and provide force protection solutions for embassies and consulates in high threat areas. This research has led to the development of several exciting technologies such as the Hardened Alternative Trailer System (HATS), the Modular Guard Tower System (MGTS), and Blast, Ballistic, and Forced-Entry-Resistant Operable Windows and Doors. In addition to his work as an engineer, Judson proudly serves part-time as a Logistics Readiness Officer in the Mississippi Air National Guard.
